Gourmet House Shipping Policy

This Shipping Policy explains how Gourmet House Caviar ("Gourmet House," "we," "us," or "our") processes, ships, and delivers orders placed through our website. By placing an order, you agree to this Shipping Policy, as well as our Terms of Service and any other applicable policies posted on the Site.
1. Order Processing
Orders are typically processed after payment has been successfully authorized and received. Processing times may vary depending on product availability, order volume, weather conditions, quality-control review, destination, and carrier schedules.
Unless otherwise stated at checkout or in a separate written communication, order processing times are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Orders are not processed, packed, or shipped on weekends or holidays unless expressly stated.
We reserve the right to delay or cancel any order where inventory, temperature conditions, shipping feasibility, payment verification, fraud screening, regulatory issues, or other fulfillment concerns make immediate shipment impracticable.
2. Shipping Methods
Gourmet House may ship orders using overnight, expedited, two-day, local courier, messenger, freight, or other delivery methods depending on the product, destination, season, and service selected at checkout.
Perishable products, including caviar and certain temperature-sensitive items, may only be shipped using methods that we determine are appropriate in light of product sensitivity, distance, destination conditions, and carrier availability.
We reserve the right to select, substitute, or change the carrier or shipping method where reasonably necessary to complete delivery.
3. Shipping Destinations
We currently ship only to destinations that are available at checkout or otherwise confirmed by us in writing. Certain products may be restricted by destination, temperature conditions, local regulations, import requirements, or carrier limitations.
We reserve the right to refuse shipment to any jurisdiction, address type, or destination that we determine is not suitable for perishable delivery or legal fulfillment.
4. Delivery Timeframes
Any shipping or delivery timeframe shown on the Site, in a checkout flow, in marketing materials, or in customer communications is an estimate only unless expressly stated otherwise in writing.
We make reasonable efforts to ship orders within the timeframe stated at checkout or otherwise communicated to you. However, delivery dates are not guaranteed and may be affected by weather, carrier delays, customs processing, flight disruptions, service interruptions, seasonal volume, address errors, failed delivery attempts, and events outside our reasonable control.
If no specific shipment timeframe is stated for an order, Gourmet House will use commercially reasonable efforts to ship within a reasonable period after receiving a properly completed order.
5. Perishable Products
Caviar and other perishable items require prompt receipt, refrigeration, and proper handling. By ordering perishable products, you acknowledge and accept the following:

Someone must be available to receive the package at the delivery address;

Perishable products should be opened, inspected, and refrigerated immediately upon arrival;

Delivery to unattended addresses may create a risk of spoilage, temperature deviation, or quality loss; and

Gourmet House is not responsible for damage, spoilage, or diminished quality resulting from delayed retrieval, improper storage, or delivery instructions requesting that a package be left unattended.
We may, in our discretion, delay shipment of perishable products if weather or transit conditions create an unreasonable risk to product integrity.
6. Delivery Address Accuracy
You are solely responsible for providing a complete, accurate, and deliverable shipping address, together with any necessary access codes, suite numbers, contact names, and delivery instructions.
Gourmet House is not responsible for delays, losses, failed deliveries, or additional costs caused by incorrect, incomplete, outdated, or undeliverable address information supplied by the customer.
If an order is returned, rerouted, intercepted, or reshipped due to address error or recipient unavailability, additional shipping and handling charges may apply.
7. Failed Delivery Attempts and Unclaimed Packages
If a package cannot be delivered on the first attempt due to recipient absence, restricted access, refusal, carrier inability to complete delivery, or incorrect address information, the carrier may attempt redelivery, hold the package, return it, or otherwise dispose of it in accordance with its procedures.
For perishable shipments, Gourmet House cannot guarantee product quality after a failed delivery attempt, delivery delay, hold-for-pickup delay, or extended transit event.
Orders that are refused, abandoned, undeliverable, or not timely collected may not be eligible for refund or replacement, particularly where perishable goods are involved.
8. Risk of Loss and Title
Risk of loss and responsibility for the products pass to you upon our tender of the shipment to the carrier, except where otherwise required by applicable law.
You are responsible for monitoring tracking information, receiving the package promptly, and ensuring appropriate storage and handling after delivery.
9. Warm Weather, Seasonal, and Operational Holds
To protect product quality, Gourmet House may hold, delay, or reschedule shipments during periods of excessive heat, severe weather, holidays, peak-volume periods, service disruptions, or when a destination is not suitable for safe delivery.
Where feasible, we may contact you to coordinate a revised shipping date. We reserve the right to delay fulfillment where shipment on the requested date would, in our judgment, materially increase the risk of damage or spoilage.
10. Signature and Delivery Requirements
For certain orders, particularly high-value, perishable, wholesale, or temperature-sensitive shipments, Gourmet House may require a signature, verified recipient availability, scheduled delivery, or special handling.
We reserve the right to impose these requirements at our discretion for quality-control, fraud-prevention, or logistics reasons.
11. Shipping Charges
Shipping charges, handling charges, insurance charges, surcharge amounts, and any applicable taxes or duties will be displayed at checkout where applicable, or otherwise quoted in writing.
Additional charges may apply for rerouting, address correction, missed delivery, remote-area service, customs requirements, weekend delivery, special handling, or customer-requested changes after the order is placed.
12. International Orders
If international shipping is offered, the customer is solely responsible for complying with local import laws, food-import restrictions, customs requirements, taxes, duties, brokerage charges, and clearance procedures unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
Gourmet House is not responsible for delays, refusals, seizures, spoilage, or additional costs arising from customs processes, local regulatory restrictions, or cross-border delivery conditions.
13. Delays and Shipping Issues
Once an order has been transferred to a carrier, carrier delays are outside our direct control. Nevertheless, if your shipment appears materially delayed, lost, or mishandled, please contact us promptly and we will make commercially reasonable efforts to assist.
Where appropriate, Gourmet House may, in its sole discretion, offer a replacement, store credit, partial refund, or other accommodation. Nothing in this Shipping Policy obligates us to provide a refund or replacement for delays or events caused by the carrier, weather, customs, recipient unavailability, or inaccurate shipping information.
14. Damaged, Missing, or Incorrect Shipments
If your order arrives damaged, incomplete, or incorrect, you must notify us promptly after delivery and provide all information we reasonably request, including photographs of the outer packaging, shipping label, contents, condition of the product, and any batch or lot information.
Failure to report a shipping issue promptly may affect our ability to investigate the matter with the carrier or supplier and may reduce or eliminate any remedy otherwise available.
15. Returned Packages
Packages returned to Gourmet House due to failed delivery, refusal, incorrect address, inability to contact the recipient, or other delivery failure may not be eligible for refund if the products are perishable, temperature-sensitive, custom-packed, or otherwise unsuitable for resale.
If a non-perishable order is returned in resalable condition, any refund may be reduced by the original shipping charge, return shipping charge, handling costs, and any other direct costs incurred.
16. Order Changes and Cancellations
Because many Gourmet House orders are time-sensitive and perishable, changes or cancellations may not be possible once an order has been submitted, paid, packed, allocated, or transferred into fulfillment.
If you need to request a change, please contact us immediately. We do not guarantee that any requested modification, address correction, delivery-date change, or cancellation can be accommodated.
17. Wholesale, Custom, and Special Orders
Wholesale, private-label, repacked, relabeled, event, hospitality, airline, and other custom or trade orders may be subject to separate shipping terms, temperature protocols, delivery schedules, allocation rules, Incoterms, or written agreements.
If a separate written agreement applies, that agreement will control in the event of a conflict with this Shipping Policy.
18. Force Majeure
Gourmet House shall not be liable for any shipping delay, non-delivery, spoilage risk, or fulfillment failure resulting from events beyond our reasonable control, including weather events, natural disasters, acts of God, labor disruptions, airline or ground-service interruptions, customs holds, government action, war, embargo, supply shortages, public health events, power failures, internet outages, or carrier service failures.
